Class 3c have an advent calender but instead of chocolates there are pictures likes snowflakes, a reindeer head and a cat with a father Christmas hat on. Class 30 has made up a song for the Nativity called the wondering star. Also there is a post box by the main entrance where you can post Christmas cards but before you can post them it has to have a name and class so when they get delivered they go to the right class. Also there is a Christmas tree by the entrance as well. It is coverd with decorations such as tinsel and lights.

Animal Man

When the animal came he bought lots of interesting animals. First we saw a scary, horrifying tarantula! The entire first row stood up the animal man walked slowly down with the tarantula in his hand. The next animal that came out was a snake called Mexican Pete. The animal man kindly put Mexican
Pete on the floor and let him squirm around. After all of that wiggling Mexican Pete decided to take a trip down the first and second aisle. The third animal was a barn owl. He came down the first row and we got to stroke hi white, fluffy chest. Last but not least was a chinchilla. He came down the first and second aisle and said hello to everyone!PA

When the animal man came he let us feel the animals. One of the animals was
a thin snake,another was an white barn owl,the other was a tarantula,last
we saw a furry, cute chinchilla.Chinchillas have the softest fur in the
country!NM

New Children's Laureate

Anthony Browne (pictured) has been announced and what he has to say in his acceptance speech fits in well with the INSPIRE workshop we held today.

Picture books are special – they're not like anything else. Sometimes I hear parents encouraging their children to read what they call proper books (books without pictures), at an earlier and earlier age. This makes me sad, as picture books are perfect for sharing, and not just with the youngest children. As a father, I understand the importance of the bond that develops through reading picture books with your child.

We have been learning about food groups and what food does for us. Our topic is teeth and eating. Mr Crees our teacher said he may bring some skulls in from animals because he goes walking lots of miles with his son. We have only been working on teeth and eating for a short time and we still have a lot to learn. We like this topic because we can learn about what we eat and our teeth and how they help us to eat.
