Poetry

We have been inspired by Brian Moses poem Walking with my Iguana. You can listen to it HERE
Here is one of our own versions:-

I’m walking
With my giraffe
I’m walking
With my giraffe
When we walk along
His neck goes up high
He munches leaves
From up in the sky
He looks around
And sees tiny people
and I’m walking
with my giraffe
I’m walking
with my giraffe
Well if anyone sees us
we’re a big surprise,
my giraffe and me
on our daily exercise,
till somebody phones
the local police
says I’ve got a big thing
tied to a leash
when I’m walking
with my giraffe
I’m walking
with my giraffe
It’s the spots on his back
that make him look funny
but he loved to be tickled
under his tummy.
And I know that my giraffe
is ready for bed
when he puts on his pyjamas
and lays down his sleepy head.
And I’m walking
with my giraffe
still walking
with my giraffe
With my giraffe…
and my giraffe….
and I’m walking
with my giraffe
with my giraffe
with my giraffe yeah!
