Author Visits

The author visits were really good! Simon Cheshire came first. He wrote Jeremy Brown - Spy, Pants on Fire and many more. He explained about how to get ideas for stories as ideas can pop into your head at any time or place (including in the chippy!)
Jeremy Strong came next, the author of My Dad's Got an Alligator and My Nan's Great Escape! He was a funny man making us all laugh our heads off. He read us an extract from his new book also he showed us you're never too young to be a writer. After that he showed where he worked.
on the whole we had two great visits that we all enjoyed. AP

Through The Dragon's Eye: Gorwen vs Charn!

Chapter 8 The Great Battle
Gorwen defended himself. Charn couldn't to defeat Gorwen. Charn had melted the others but Gorwen brought them back to life. Gorwen began to fade away. DM

Through the Dragon's Eye is good because Charn gets defeated by Gorwen. Charn had turned Morris and Doris and the pets into puddles. The mouse, Boris and the children are looking for the last veeton. They have found two veetons. HN

My Dad's Big Adventure

My big dad was going on a big adventure that was called the Haunted House. When my dad went he was really scared because the house was haunted. The person who lived there was really scary because when my dad had been there Trick or Treating, the man who lived there shouted 'GET OFF MY LAWN' that's why no one should ever go there. That's why. Literacy Inspire

Thank you to everyone who came to the workshop today and thank you for the feedback. To follow up a few of the questions. Dan Freedman writes the football stories (see cover pics for his and other possible books)

Some also asked about how to make an online word search. On the ICT blog there will soon be some help with this and links to useful sites.

If you want to become a story writer always carry a notebook to write down your ideas. CG
